Life Skills and Parenting Training
We equip young mothers with essential life and parenting skills. These trainings enable them to make informed life decisions, manage daily challenges, and nurture their children’s growth in a healthy and supportive environment.
Family Planning Education
COMHESWA promotes access to and understanding of family planning methods, helping young mothers plan their families and lead healthier lives. This approach supports the overall well-being of both mother and child.
Economic Empowerment
- Formation of Economic Groups: We identify economically vulnerable young mothers and facilitate the formation of economic support groups. In these groups, they save and lend money to one another, enabling them to start or expand small businesses and other income-generating activities.
- Healthcare Funding: Through income generated from these activities, mothers can afford essential health services, including access to the Community Health Insurance Fund (CiHIF).
Ensuring Basic Needs
Our program prioritizes the provision of basic needs such as physical and psychological health, food, shelter, and safety, ensuring that both short-term and long-term necessities are met. This holistic support lays the foundation for a stable and healthy life for young mothers and their children.
Nutrition Education for Child Development
We provide specialized nutrition education focused on brain development in children. Young mothers learn about proper nutrition practices to support the cognitive and physical growth of their children, fostering a healthier future generation.
